Do this on the phone that owns your public number
- iPhone: Settings → Phone → Call Forwarding → On → paste the AI number (copy first). That is the real switch.
- Many US carriers: Dial
*72 + AI number, wait for confirmation. Cancel with*73. - PBX / RingCentral / Zoom Phone: Admin → call handling / after-hours → forward to AI number.
- Google Voice: voice.google.com → Settings → Calls → Forwarding → add AI number.
- Test: From a different phone, call your public number. Hear the AI, then mark verified.
