The gap
The industry can decode. It cannot reconstruct the recall.
Most plants already read barcodes. The read happens, the package moves, and the decode is gone. When Quality has to answer where a lot went, they pull paper, PLC tags, and scanner files that never held a complete history. That work takes days.
Read
1D and 2D codes under real line conditions, including imperfect prints and multi-code packs.
Reject
Product that does not meet the criteria leaves the flow. Clear fails can run automatic. Borderline calls wait for someone on your floor.
Store
Every reading is written immediately to a plant-level database: timestamp, operator, line, facility, and the custom fields Quality needs.
Search
During a recall, the customer searches the decode history. “Where did this product go?” is a query, not a reconstruction.
The record
A database of every product decode.
MILO Code is the audit trail for recalls. Quality logs in and searches the decodes for that lot, line, and window. The trail is attributable: who was on the station, when the read happened, and what the camera saw as the code.
The station is built so your quality team can plan validation against 21 CFR Part 11 electronic records, FSMA including 21 CFR 117, and FDA QMSR on that system. Emergency stop stays hardwired on the PLC.
