Your SLC 500 is out of support. Your line can't be.

Rockwell stopped selling the last SLC 5/05 processors on March 31, 2024. We move your SLC 500 logic to CompactLogix, keep the 1746 I/O and field wiring where we can, and cut over on a weekend.

Who it is for

Sound familiar?

If this is you

An SLC 500 still runs the line

It works today. A failed processor means a used part at a high price, or a long stop.

If this is you

The PanelView is failing

A dim screen, dead touch, or a terminal you can no longer buy new.

If this is you

The program lives on one old laptop

Or nowhere. Nobody is sure the copy you have matches what is running.

What you get

Two fixed-scope jobs.

Rockwell lists the 1747-AENTR adapter as end of life, with a discontinued date of February 15, 2027 (Rockwell product page). If your path uses it, plan the purchase before then.

SLC 500 to CompactLogix

Scope
One SLC 500 processor and chassis (up to 10 slots), up to 128 discrete and 16 analog I/O, about 1,000 rungs, with the program file available.
Path
A new CompactLogix controller with a 1747-AENTR adapter in the 1746 chassis, so the I/O modules and field wiring stay.
Cutover
Bench test on our simulator, a weekend cutover of up to two site days with a written rollback plan, then two weeks of remote follow-up.
No program file?
We try to read it from the processor. A program read back that way has no comments or tag descriptions, so we price the rebuild after the assessment.
You keep
You own the new program: a commented Studio 5000 project, the I/O list, as-built notes and backups.

PanelView to PanelView Plus 7

Scope
One PanelView Standard (550, 600 or 1000) or PanelView Plus 6, up to 15 screens and 50 alarms, project file available, Ethernet to the PLC.
Work
Converted and cleaned up in FactoryTalk View ME, bench tested, swapped in one site day.
Fit
Some PanelView Plus 7 models fit the old cutout. Others need an adapter kit. We check yours before we quote.
No file?
We rebuild the screens from photos and the PLC program. That is a separate tier.

How it works

From first message to finished build.

01

Tell us about the system

Five minutes: the machine, what controls it, and what keeps going wrong. Photos of the panel and nameplates help.

02

A 20-minute call

We ask the questions that change the price: program files, I/O count, networks, shutdown windows.

03

A written quote within 2 business days

Fixed fee, written scope, and what is not included. No open-ended hourly work.

04

Assessment invoice, then the visit

You pay the assessment. We do the work on site or on the bench and send a written report.

05

Build quote with the fee credited

If you go ahead with the build, the assessment fee comes off the build quote.

We set the fixed price only after the assessment. Undocumented code is the main reason migrations go over budget. Electrical installation is not in the starting price; when a job needs field wiring, it is quoted with a licensed electrical contractor. PLC-5 (RSLogix 5) moves to ControlLogix and is a different job: tell us about it in the form.
